You'll notfind any RFC about FBMTV. This is an assp unique feature. Fritz
and I hav'nt jet written a DRAFT to send it to IANA, to get the feature
become a RFC.
FBMTV is doing the same (and some more) like BATV with the email address,
but with the message-id. Using FBMTV and make sure that all outging mails
passing a FBMTV enabled ASSP, you'll get 100% free of unwanted bounces.

Thanks for your sugesstion about using FBMTV. I'll find RFC'f about it and
read asap.

I've download RC 0.1.17, set these values:
DoMSGIDsig set to 3, DoBATV set to '0', and enable DoLocalSenderAddress.
Then I did couple mailflow tests, which has been successfull.

While testing I've noticed that when DoBATV is set to 3, I did not receive
any delivery reports.
I've not explored yet, did they has been dropped by assp or by Exchange.

Best regards,
Alexander Shabalin

I have to search for this BUG - but BATV is the wrong concept, better
instead use FBMTV (Message-ID signing).

[Assp-test] ASSP denies relaying from local users

Hi All!

Please explain to me, why ASSP trying to search LDAP with
"proxyaddresses=smtp:prvs=8565e636cc=myaddr...@mydomain.ru", but not
with "proxyaddresses=smtp: myaddr...@mydomain.ru"?
IMHO, BATV tags can't be found in LDAP. Correct me please, if I going
to the wrong way, cause I still reading BATV draft.

1. ASSP log
Nov-10-09 09:30:47 34647-12645 [Worker_2] 192.168.10.210
<myaddr...@mydomain.ru> info : changed sender from myaddr...@mydomain.ru
to prvs=8565e636cc=myaddr...@mydomain.ru
Nov-10-09 09:30:47 [Worker_2] LDAP Results
proxyaddresses=smtp:myexternaladdr...@bk.ru: 0 :
Nov-10-09 09:30:47 [Worker_2] LDAP Results
proxyaddresses=smtp:prvs=8565e636cc=myaddr...@mydomain.ru: 0 :
Nov-10-09 09:30:47 34647-12645 [Worker_2] [RelayAttempt] 192.168.10.210
<myaddr...@mydomain.ru> to: myexternaladdr...@bk.ru relay attempt
blocked for unknown local sender address
Nov-10-09 09:30:47 [Worker_2] Disconnected: 192.168.10.210

2. And finally - NDR from Exchange:
      myexternaladdr...@bk.ru on 10.11.2009 9:30
There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's
email server. Please contact your system administrator.
            <mxHost.MyDomain.ru #5.5.0 smtp;530 Relaying not allowed -
local sender address unknown>

Changed settings:
NotGreedyWhitelist changed from '' to '0'
GreedyWhitelistAdditions changed from '1' to '0'
DoDomainCheck changed from '3' to '1'
DoScriptRe changed from '0' to '2'
DoBATV changed from '0' to '2'
remindBATVTag changed from '' to '1'
ASSP_AFCReplBadAttach changed from '0' to ''
ASSP_AFCReplViriParts changed from '0' to ''

I have to disable "Do Local Address Check for Local Sender
(DoLocalSenderAddress)" as a temporary solution, but at the evening I'll
switch off BATV.

Env:
Exchange 2003 SP2 + ASSP 2.0.1 (RC 0.5.16),
LDAP is configured and working properly:
Nov-10-09 14:36:27 [Worker_10000] LDAP/VRFY-crosscheck started
Nov-10-09 14:36:28 [Worker_10000] LDAP/VRFY-crosscheck finished
Nov-10-09 14:36:28 [Worker_10000] Saving ldaplist
Nov-10-09 14:36:28 [Worker_10000] Info: 126 records of LDAPlist saved
Nov-10-09 14:36:28 [Worker_10000] INFO: LDAP/VRFY-CrossCheck removed
from queue

Best regards,
Alexander Shabalin
