EDMK is an especially-useful instruction.

Its important to pre-load GPR 1 with an address,
as R1 is not guaranteed to be loaded with anything.

Recently, I coded an emulation of the instructions – following the guidelines of that flowchart – which failed miserably, alerting me to the errors in the tutorial. I have corrected the flowchart and slightly tweaked the presentation, an updated version of which may be found on my Google drive:
