I beleive that the CWG song is good as it is and should not be redone.

As an outsider (i live in the West Indies), the feeling i am getting is that it
is not really about the song at all. It is a political issue. People prior to
the release of the song was looking for it to some how make everything right
about the cwg. It will make them forget the mess that was happening. But the
song obviously cannot correct wrongs, and so it became the whipping child of
politicians on both sides of the divide.

I am honestly concerned about the way Rahman has been treated by the media from
an outsider's view. I grew up on Hindi Music, and even before knowing who
Rahman was, was attached to his style. In those days, where I lived, Rahman's
music had not yet gained acceptance in a population swamped with Nadeem Shravan
and Jatin Lalit. Rahman only became established in West Indian Hindi music
followers post Saathiya, and even then it was not until Rang de Basanti and
Guru that this began to solidify. It was many years later i realised that his
music that sang to divinity was created by Mr. A R Rahman.

God forbids with all this nonsense going on Rahman abandons the Hindi Music
Industry and moves to Hollywood completely, it will be the biggest lost to
Indian Music. I can only hope that good sense will prevail for all, but most of
all the success of the Indian Music Industry, which stands to lose the most by
becoming a political pawn.

NO to the remaking of the CWG song...it is good as it is, and Indians should
appreciate this.
