I've been thinking of doing something like this for a while. 

Gops - great suggestion, as usual. Let's spend some time designing this well. 
Data can always be crowd-sourced the wikipeida-way and should be relatively 
simple once we have a good design. 

Who ever does this, let's follow the open-source philosophy. I'll see if I can 
work on something and get something that everyone can then pitch in and evolve.
