A. R. Rahman's absence from India has reportedly held up the release of Jhootha
Hi Sahee.

The composer, who became a household name after writing the soundtrack for
Slumdog Millionaire, agreed to provide the music for Abbas Tyrewala's film but
is said to have delayed handing his work to the film's production team.

Real Bollywood claims that Jhootha Hi Sahee producer Madhu Mantena had to fly
to London to track Rahman down and request the songs.

Despite the delays that Rahman has allegedly caused, director Tyrewala defended
him, saying: "Whatever the time taken over the music is worth it. Rahman doing
the music adds a totally new dimension to my film."

Jhootha Hi Sahee has been given a new release date of October 15.
