http://folkpunjab.com/abida-parveen/ranjha-ranjha-kardi/ the above link gives the bulleh shah version rendered by Abida Perveen. I assume that is the original bulleh shah version and abida didn't change anything in that. That reads: Ranjha ranjha kardi hun main aape Ranjha hoyi Saddo mainoon Dheedo Ranjha, Heer naa akho koyi Ranjha main wich, main Ranjhe wich, ghair khayyal na koyi Main naheen au aap hai, apni aap kare diljoyi Jo kuch saade andar wasse, zaat assadi soyi Jis de naal main neoonh lagaya oho jaisi hoyi Chitti chaadar laa sut kuriye, pehan faqeeran loyi Chitti chaadar daag lagesi, loyii daag na koyi Taqt hazaare lai chal Bulleah, siyaaleen mile na dhoyi Ranjha ranjha kardi hun main aape Ranjha hoyi So, going by this, not 4 but just the first two lines are by Bulleh Shah. > > Then the lines that follow - > > "Sotey Sotey Bolta Hoon, Kabhi Bolte Bolte Sota Hoon Kya Jaane Kya > Hota Hai, Kabhi Jalti Aag Dadolta Hoon Ek Baar To Aake Dekhe Woh > Bhi" > > they dont flow with the compisition at all!! seems like just tucked > in there.. rest of the lyrics seem fine though. ha ha ha. in a way, you are saying that ARR didn't compose music well for these lines. no? ha ha ha. > > There hasnt been any song by Rekha Bhardwaj that I didnt like, and > this one composed by ARR - has to be a special one.
