I did not know that Thamarai won the best Lyricist for the song "Injarungo Injarungo" from Thenali. Interesting news for me. I have to listen to the song one more time paying special attention to the lyrics.
Coming back to VTV, maybe the lyrics fits well with the movie, but poetically speaking the words and the imaginations were pretty average. I wish we have more lyricist in Tamil on the caliber of Gulzar or Javeed Aktar. What happened to ARR-Vairamuthu's Sir combination ? I am terribly missing it. They were a mind blowing pair and I really wish they come back once again and make me sit back and take a notice of the lyrics in ARR's songs.
