Varuvaaya, releasing big this Friday in a dozen Chennai screens.It is a solo
Tamil release and Red Giant Movies are promoting it aggressively on Sun TV and
Kalaingnar TV and also getting prime shows at the multiplexes. Sathyam Cinemas
big screen has given it four shows and Mayajaal is having 37 shows a day! At
the advance booking counter the film has taken a very good opening, Sathyam
Cinemas have been sold out till Monday night. Devi has also been sold out for
the weekend. At Mayajaal nearly 4800 tickets were sold for the opening weekend
on Wednesday, the day advance booking opened.The other new releases like
Amitabh Bachchan- Madhavan’s Teen Patti and Farhan Akhtar- Deepika
Padukone Karthik calling Karthik, are being given minimum shows at
multiplexes. My Name Is Khan has been shifted to smaller screens with limited
shows.
