Guys Guys Guys, I have just come back from the Muscat Concert-It was mindblowing,what an Jaw dropping performance from Lush's RAP to Vivanne's French sound to Stephen's Keyboards to the amazing lead guitarist to Vellai Pokal Video being played in the large LED screen and Most of all our Man's Performance, to all the detractors did you all know that this ARR concert in Muscat was the biggest in the Sultanate Of Oman's History-record number of people turned up and the production value was unparalled-ONLY CAN BE ACHEIVED BY ARR- Please do not comment just by listening or seeing some cheap rip off Videos or tracks.....................................................We all should be Proud by the mere fact that ARR is conducting concerts of world standards (Lighting,Settings,Performance,Performers)-It is an experience beleive me

If you're going to be in the music/PR business then you should learn to take honest criticism in the right spirit. My personal reaction is quite similar to what Jahanzeb stated. I thought Mausam & Escape was terrific and perhaps the best part of the concert! I also liked a lot of the stripped-down/ simple versions like Udhaya/Tu Hi Re. ARR was good in Khwaja but it looked like he was out of breath in the other songs and I didn't like them as much. I'm not saying they were bad. It's just the nature of a lot of ARR songs being heavily produced with layers and effects that don't translate too well for me in a concert setting (a lot of the unplugged versions are exceptions though). For this same reason I haven't been keen on attending any of his concerts but it's very satisfying to see the production qualities continually improve. The stage, setting and display of artist names for the Sydney concert was very nicely done. Of course, all this is based on seeing the videos on Youtube and I do understand how the real experience is much better (but there's an upper-bound that's apparent too). Do you want this group to be a bunch of YES MEN praising everything or do you want this group to be both critical and appreciative of our boss's output? Jahanzeb was not very harsh in his tone. He said good things about the concert too. Try to be objective and see if there is any validity in this argument. Check out the songs again and if you still things ALL songs had top notch singing then we have a issue.:-) I do realize live singing is extremely difficult and challenging but AR now has a reputation of a World Class performer and he needs to maintain the high standards he set for himself all the time. Price of success and acclaim if you ask me :-) :-) And good things can always come out of criticism. I salute the guys who had the courage to point out the "belmishes" in Blue. Thanks to them we are now enjoying the cleaner sound in VTV. I am sure AR will always ensure clean and crsip sound in his forthcoming albums. Thanks Jahanzeb for having the courage to stand up and speak out. We need more guys who can voice healthy ctiticism. P.S 1. For all those guys posting irrelavant you tube links trying to prove Aromale was a lift... If Aromale was copied from Pink Floyd/Other 70s Rock artists then all his quawwalis were copied from old hindi quawallis and all his dance numbers are inspired from countless techno songs.
