iTunes sells mp3 files, they dont sell physical CDs or do they? Actually I bought this Vande Mataram CD about a month ago, just because it was re-issued. It was listed for $ 22.99 in store (HMV) and I got it for around $ 25 (including tax). Here is link to the product - http://www.hmv.ca/Products/Detail/538925.aspx So if you buy it from arrahman.com.. with taxes & shipping cost, its gonna be pretty much same price as of stores.
If you browse around that webstore, you will find that the webstore is located in Canada, and whatever CDs are added in webstore (so far), are international releases...and yes, pricing of most of English / international albums (in the stores) is around $ 20. I remember buying Vanessa-Mea's Choreography for $ 35 (yea, for that one song - Raaga's Dance composed by Rahman). But its different situation for Indian releases which are sold in the range of $ 7.99 - $ 9.99 in Indian Audio & Video stores. So if Hindi / Tamil / Telugu CDs are added in webstore in future, the pricing will be around $ 8-10 --- In [email protected], "coolwiz80" <siris...@...> wrote: > > While I'm elated at the news of new online store which sells exclusive Rahman > music CDs, I'm also concerned about the pricing.
