Sorry Chord! I have to break your mail chain to put few lines about the
soundtrack first...

I was traveling and didn't get a chance to check emails...I just got a
chance to do and found the updates on the soundtrack...I must say after just
couple of listens, it's brilliant! Wow...First a Tamil song and then the
Sajna re....that too possibly by a foreign singer! AR seems to have
thoroughly enjoyed while composing the tracks...Nana track is complete
fun...the kiddish voice in it just adds beauty to it...Need to hear more...

Coming to Chord's post...I've haven't seen any reviews yet, particularly
talking about the music, from the preview shows that must have happened by
now I guess...I think you are put up in the US...Just curious to know if
there were any special screenings and any reviews on the music?

Expecting an Oscar so early would be dangerous...So it's better to enjoy the
soundtrack and be happy if it gets due recognition yet again...

However, if you look at SDM, the audience got introduced about the music in
Dec '08 and every one after watching the movie talked about the end
song...it just took very less time for the audience but the fever spread as
fast as possible and was there till Feb when it got the Oscar treatment! And
also, no one, atleast in India, thought about the Oscars until AR got the
Golden globe nomination...Now that he has bagged few, every one out here is
so keen following these awards... There are websites like
www.awardsdaily.com, www.incontention.com where people start discussing
throughout the year about various award ceremonies...People who are crazy
about awards can follow the discussions here...hope the fever spreads for CR
as well...As you said, movie success also is an important factor...Let's
wait and see...
