Does any of you think that CR (music) is going to be a hit in India?

Well, I don't think so.

Slumdog was still "Indian type of music", songs with lyrics, even fully Hindi
lyrics songs. With CR, ARR has really graduated from Indian style of music to
hollywood style of music, but I don't think Indian public is ready to adjust to
such a sudden change. To me, it seems a very very very small number of Indians
(English speaking, rich, having good systems) might get to listen to it and
even a smaller number of Indians is likely to like it. Our ears and tastes are
just not attuned to this type of music.

And before fans start bashing, let me clarify that it is not a statement about
the quality of music. I am just highlighting the "genre" difference that we,
the Indians are used to.

Seems Indian listeners' loss is going to be foreign listeners' gain.

I wonder whether listening to this album will open up Indians to listen to
foreign music.

I am also wondering why he at all used the hindi word Sajna in it. He could
have done away with this also, and in any case, it is not a word getting
popular in English writings, like the terms Guru, Avatar, Yoga, etc have been
adapted into English.
