thanks for your response. I personally feel much of the sound quality
dissatisfaction (and the mixing concern of rehnuma) would not come up if it was
understood widely that ARR simply tried to make it sound that way (just another
experiment of his, not to forget it is his past experiments that changed the
sound of indian music and caused zillions of non-indians to listen and also be
able to praise indian music) and it was probably not a production glitch at all.

Subject: [arr] Drowned in Blue!

Hi All,

After listening to Blue CD countless times on my Dolby Home Theater sound
system in last few days (and in mobile headphone when i am at office and in car
stereo when im on the move..) I have started to feel the soundtracks of Blue
has some uncanny atmospheric effect to it... the heavy reverberating overall
sounds, suppressed voices, deep sounds of music (e.g. rehnuma), almost hollow
vocal effect (like the female part of fiqrana)... they all reminds me the
effects of listening to music on sea shores... and it would probably sound this
way if I could go deep into sea and listen to music (no headphones obviously)..
.

Dont know if any of you would agree with me.. or I have gone mad with Blue! ARR
always keeps me mad about him with his music... only this time its almost
unbearable! :)

BR,
Moin Ali
