just bought the cd. and loving it. though most of the songs were heard a zillion times, i think this compilation works perfectly because of the choice and placement of the songs. I stopped listening to khalbali a long time ago. Not because it is not a good song. sure it is a great song but somehow rest of the tracks (luka chupi, tu bin bataae etc.) were the ones I liked the most. but listening to khalbali in this compilation was a different. so, is meherbaan. I didn't like it when the song came out in Ada album. but loved it in this compilation. is it weird ? I think it is because this album is all about ar rahman and his heavenly voice.
one complaint though, why is the bombay theme track not as crips and clear as the rest of his songs. i noticed that even in the Cafe Del Mar version. the bass is jarring sometimes even in the iPod headphones. anyway, nevertheless, will always love it :) AR's version of jiya se jiya is a superb track. plus there is an interesting club mix of jiya se jiya with awesome beats! -- ----------------------------------- http://ramblingsoul.com http://2ic.in
