No I don't doubt the genius in A R Rahman, he is experimental, innovative yet I expect more from him. His orchestration is multilayered, it takes time to understand his arrangement that is why his tunes take time to grow over you yet I would say he is not in his best form and niether D6 nor SD are anyway close to what he has composed in 90s.
