Music director A R Rehman at some point in his career almost wanted to say goodbye to music and devote himself to the spiritual world in the service of the God, this news was reported by Khalid Mohammed in one of his recent articles.
It is a known fact that Rehman believes that his inspiration in composing music has a divine hand and it is as if the lord is instructing him to compose music, and so Rehman was so absorbed in the spiritual way that he thought of renouncing the material world, till his family and mother especially persuaded him to continue with his music.
