I still remember the day one of my friends, just after the release of Udaya.. when this song came up.. he was like 'this song is a waste'.. i could have slapped him !!! but after a few weeks, he was humming the song :)
I feel this song was the start of Rahman's use of expansive Orchestrations in our film songs.. I hope he doesnt stop... Dost in Yuvvraaj was mindblowing.
