When you listen to an ARR track, more often than not, have you noticed how light and airy that track "feels" despite it being so powerful and evocative? I sometimes get a feeling of "flying" or "soaring" when I listen to an ARR track.
To me, Rahman's music is full of space. If you look at music one way, you can think of it as not being sculptures of sound, but the space in between the notes that define the music. I find Rahman's music to have a lot of those "spaces" in between notes, which alludes to my earlier post about the high spirituality in his music. It's this very important factor to me that makes his music so special, along with many other factors.
