*" All Praises to Rahman Sir alone" – Singer Tanvi*

Tanvi means a " Surprising Lady". She appears to be like one. The song " Jai
Ho" which has won the Golden Globe award and has proceeded towards the
Oscars has her voice in it.

" When Rahman Sir achieved the award and when I heard that Jai Ho song has
been nominated for the Oscars, I couldn't control my excitement for a day"
….. says Tanvi.

" I didn't learn music the proper way. I am just a Bathroom singer. I left
to America for higher studies. There also, I would sing just as a pastime.
Somebody had recorded my songs there and made it into a CD and had passed it
on to Rahman Sir without my own knowledge. One day, suddenly, there was a
call from Rahman Sir's studio. When I went there, Rahman Sir asked me to
sing a song for " Yuva". I started pinching my self twice, thrice and
couldn't believe it. That song became a hit and has brought me to this much
height now.

She has also sung for films like " Guru, New, Jillenu oru Kadhal, Sivaji,
Ram, Manmadhan".

It's a very joyous experience to work with Rahman Sir. We can learnt a lot
.When I went to sing the song for Slumdog, I didn't even know that it was
for that movie. He told me that I should be singing in a different voice
altogether. It was a big challenge to me.For success, there is destiny and
luck……… There could be many other reasons which each one of us can tell… But
according to me it is sheer hardwork. Whenever I do something, I do it with
full heart with all my efforts. That will automatically take us to heights.
All these have been learnt from Rahman Sir, and so…. All Praises to Rahman
Sir alone".
