earlier this week.

This brings up its tally of awards and nominations to a mindblowing 120!
Good going Danny. Khelte raho!

Slumdog has been nominated for the best film, outstanding British film, best
director (Danny Boyle), music (AR Rahman), adapted screenplay (Simon
Beaufoy), leading actor (Dev Patel), supporting actress (Freida Pinto),
cinematography (Anthony Dod Mantle), editing (Chris Dickens), production
design and sound. The film has just opened in London to rave reviews.

And just two weeks after the BAFTAs (February 8) will be the Oscars night.
And Rahman could well bring home both the trophies!

But while that remains to be seen, Hollywood star Will Smith, who has for
long been looking for an opportunity to work with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan,
has hinted that he could make a

film with Danny Boyle. According to reports, Smith said he had been "looking
at a few things" with the British director. As Boyle had said earlier, Smith
had visited him twice while he was

in India last year.

With Boyle saying that he wants to return to Mumbai to make another film,
and with Smith saying, "I'd love to do a thriller there (India) next – the
energy is extraordinary", it looks like we're headed for some exciting times
ahead!
