There is nothing wrong in being analytical and discussing Rahman's
music objectively. It's needed. Good critique of music is healthy.
But, I feel that in all this analysis, we sometimes forget a very
basic, important thing about music. How does it make you feel? Ok, so
Lattoo is not a vintage, "up to his high standards" Rahman song. But,
when you listen to it, is it catchy? Does it make you want to dance?
Or even Kaise Mujhe. So much criticsm on Benny's voice, lack of good
lyrics, etc. etc. Fine. These things should be expressed. But, when
you listen to the song, does it make you feel good? Do you feel
calmed? Soothed? Relaxed? Do goosepimples form? Does the melody
touch your heart?

Just something to think about.
