Dear Rahmaniacs!
Firstly : Please remember, i have the utmost respect for ARR's music. I have ALL original music CDs and Cassettes of Rahman and i would not even be the last person to disrespect his works. Many of you have told me that some of my mixes of ARR is in great taste and not the usual loud dance versions...i am proud of your notes to me...please do treat me as 'just an curious fan', the best one at that! Also, i dont make money through this... Now read on.. This year, just like the last few years I had planned to release a one hour mix set of Rahman’s finest. For those of you who are unaware, I release a special non-stop Rahman’s edit mix for each deevali . These are mixed versions AR Rahman’s finest tracks in the year. Lot of people out there have downloaded them and played during their parities and events in wake of the festival and related reunions. Just like last year, this year too many of you have sent me emails asking if I was working on a mix set for Deevali. Yes I am and I present a preview of the mix here! I am putting together two mix sets of Rahman’s finest, one set for Hindi tracks and the other one for Tamil tracks. Both of them are the non-stop mix edits with playback time of about 45 mins. Initially I had planned to release the Hindi mix set without waiting for the audio release of Rahman’s latest – Yuvraaj.. However, I instantly changed my mind when I heard the tracks. They are mind-blowing and deserve a mention in the mix set. I think the music of Rahman for the film Yuvraaj music is extremely fresh and superbly produced. Very rich and appealing. Needless to say, being an ardent fan of Rahman i will have a positive bias! Anyways, i thought it would be nice if I present a portion of my “Wiredbeats – Rahman Festival Edit Mix 2008” which has a medley of the few tracks from Yuvraaj so you may pre-judge the presentation and may be give me few ideas and tracks that you want me to mix.
