Very well said Chord. Very similar to what I had in mind while reading
people's reviews from last couple of days. You put it together very well. 

If a new album is similar to old one, composer is accused of being
repetitive and if he takes initiative to be different and experiments
new things, his work is compared with his previous works and doesnt
get appreciated for trying something new. Either way, these people
dont get satisfied. 
Even Rahman mentioned during audio launch to not to compare this album
to any other.
