Sakkarakatti - Senseless filmBanner: Prabhu
Story, screenplay, dialogues and Direction: Kalaprabhu
Star-casts: Shanthanu, Vedhika, Ishitha, Nizhalgal Ravi, Chittibabu and many
others
Music: A.R.Rahman
Don't know the perfect reason why debutant Kalaprabhu wanted to make a film
that has nothing new in it to praise. Not even a single attribute that makes us
feel this film is worth watching. Shame on the part of those so-called veterans
who stated that their sons have done a spellbinding job with their debut flick
'Sakkarakatti'.
Despites Bhagyaraj being one of the best screenwriters and filmmakers in the
Indian film industry, it's a billion dollar question why he has to launch his
son so foolishly with this sort of film? Also he assured that it would be a
great fiesta of entertainment for all the audiences. Yes, indeed it was! Those
multiplexes that had a great set of audiences were behaving so abnormally that
they started passing on comments from scene to scene. Of course, you would
enjoy those comments.
For the first time we don't feel reviewing a flick for one fine reason. This
isn't a professional film and looks like final year project of mass
communication or visual communication students. In simple, we would say it's an
immature performance by entire team other than A.R. Rahman who carries entire
film on his shoulder. That doesn't mean he has enchanted everyone with his
background scoring. No, single chords sounds of his style.
A pudden-headed story of Yuvaraj (Shanthanu) who is soon to join the college
with his four friends falls in love at first sight with Deepali (Ishita).
Meanwhile, Yuvaraj's cousin girl Reema (Vedhika) too falls in love with him.
Rest of the story is all about annoyance of who's going to join with one other.
'Taxi Taxi' is one such song that entertains with the sizzling dance
performance by entire team. Be it dance, cinematography and music, everything
is literally good for your senses.
Don't know the reason why the hero keeps uttering English dialogues in an
American accent. Was he born in United States or some other foreign land? Why
does he pretend to be so smart? Finally, why does he imitate Shah Rukh in his
gestures and style of delivering dialogues of Vijay? Was his father Bhagyaraj
and Kalaipuli S Dhanu, father of Director Kalaprabhu nodding their heads when
their sons presented with these underrated story?
If these questions are answered, then you can watch Sakkarakatti. Even after
reading this review, you're so adamant about watching it, we have an option for
you…. http://tamilmoviesongs.blog.co.in/2008/09/27/sakkarakatti-review/--
