Singer Chinmayi's words on A.R.Rahman I met Chinmayi yesterday along with other Chinmayi fans as well as Chinmayi's orkut community members. We met at a restaurant named Amethyst, Gopalapuram, Chennai.
We had interview session. We asked her about Rahman Sir. She replied patiently and respectively. Question : How you met Rahman Sir and got the chance for Kannathil muthamittal? Answer : I participated in Sapthawarangal, a music competition. Singer Srinivas was the judge then. She introduced me to Rahman Sir. Rahman Sir gave me the chance. Q : How many songs you did for Rahman Sir? A : I have done more and more songs in film industry. Most of my songs are with Rahman Sir. They were around 18 songs.(She listed out all the songs) Q : Usually Rahman Sir compose music in the night time? At what time u did Oru theivam thantha poove? A : It was around 3:30 AM. Not only at night time, I have sung for him at 7:30 AM. Q : What do you think about him(A.R.Rahman)? A : Such a wonderful music director. My best music director. Q : List out a music director, who is role model for you.? A : None other than Rahman Sir. We had asked her many questions which are related to her and not related to Rahman.
