I agree with you only upto some extent here. Obviously, it hurts when

movie doesnt do well on box office. Projects that Rahman takes, music

is obviously the positive point of the project, but music gets even

higher acclaim and gets on better sales if movie is appreciated. Any

movie that doesnt do well, music doesnt get sold as much as it should

have been.



In Rahman's case, music is one giant PART of the project. Rahman's

music stands out itself. Looking at the list that you posted. SOK,

Uyire (Dil Se) - Rahman won filmfare award for best music director for

them even though movie didnt do well. hence, movie's performance

effects partially in this case. Others movies that you listed there,

people know them from Rahman's music, not from actor's performance.

Consequently, I would not say "ARR's hard work is wasted" if movie

doesnt do well; his hard work will never be wasted as long as he got

supporters/fans like you guys :)
