Mumbai: Debutant director Abbas Tyrewala is a romantic at heart and his film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na is testimony to that fact. The film stars Aamir Khan's nephew Imran Khan, with Genelia in the lead. He calls the film an autobiographical because it borrows heavily from his own college days.
"How many of us know that in college, relationships start for all the wrong reasons - you are depressed or on a rebound," says he with a smile. And Abbas, who's also responsible for the dialogues of films like Maqbool and Munnabhai MBBS, reveals that the chartbuster song Pappu cant dance from the film is not just a fun college song but its also a metaphor for something more. "Everyone is gooing crazy over wanting to know who is Pappu, but they dont know that Pappu is about knowing that what seems too good to be true is actually not true," says he. And this is one director who wants to keep things simple. "It's the kind of film which kids can take their mothers to watch. That's what I want," he says. With that kind of heart warming logic at work, one hopes the film works when it hits theatres on the July 4 http://www.ibnlive.com/news/abbas-says-jaane-tu-is-an-autobiography/6783\ 1-8.html Video : http://www.ibnlive.com/videos/67831/abbas-says-jaane-tu-is-an-autobiogra\ phy.html
