I would like to share my vioew sregarding this. Raja , according to me is a decent talent. but the way he sings Rahman songs is horrible. anyone well-wisher of Raja please tell him that merely shouting doesnt make Rahman songs.

I'm no musician, but I can tell a tune of a song. As hard as Raja tries, he messes up the songs at more than one place. I can not tell the difference when these participants are singing non-Rahman songs, but man, when they are singing Rahman songs.. my ears perk up and I'm paying attention to everything from music, instruments, interludes and the singing of course. I'm not sure if Raja intentionally changes the tune/sur, but he does not come close to singing like Rahman. I hope he never works with Rahman. Although, I hope Amanat sings for Rahman, he's a better singer than Raja. And to correct the other person.. Raja didn't win the Challenge 2007, he was the 1st runner up.
