You are right Aravind. Infact I saw an interview also recently where he said with time he has to change his views too. What he doesn't like is sometimes songs like say some pathos based song is remixed and then it defeats the purpose. So I still feel the comments he has made is more towards tackling the remix questions he faces. Unless we actually see him remix a song, I would still feel he is not comfortable with remixes.
At the same time I really applaud his efforts in coming up with a better solution for the situation. You can see NEW where he has retuned the old classic. While another excellent example of his genius is Aa Aah where he used the same tune but diff lyrics to compose 2 songs one a lilting melody and the other a fast number - Mayilarage, Maramkothiye. I also feel bad that ADA's release was not timed very well. Somehow the more commercial JTYJN has not given enough breathing space for 2 stellar albums from ARR. To: [email protected] Date: Tuesday, June 24, 2008, 10:20 AM Hey, I am a bit lost here. This is probably the 3rd of 4th article I am seeing that tries to associate ARR with remixes. I thought Krishna Chetan was behind the remix in ATM and JTYJN. And the other song Thottal Poo from New is a re-tune and not a remix. So ARR has not done any remixes and rightly so and should not be thought of as King of Remix because this is unfairly branding him for something he has not done and has always stood strongly against.
