Vithur, Its evident that ARR never copies...but its also evident that in some instances he is inspired from various sources but be careful these are not copies...
I always found Taal BMGs are heavily inspired from a few Yanni tracks (some times a 7 beat songs has been used as 8 beats from Yanni's composition)... He is also inspired by John Williams in some instances (if am not wrong Gomzy told us abt a inspiration in Thiruda thiruda from ET) But don't get upset with these...as all musicians are being inspired...also don't fight telling ARR can't get inspired or something...if u r not finding similarities or if it hard to believe that he is inspired...better ignore them...don't fight... or the best way is ask Rahman himself (thru his associates) whether he is inspired or not by the above said composers in those instances... am sure...if he is inspired...he won't deny them.... its part of musical life...
