Absolutely, I am very nervous. I believe that Chennai is the home for Indian music. I would say some of the country's greatest music has been produced here. *Do you follow Tamil music?* I am a big Ilayaraja fan — I own every album (film and non-film) of his. A R Rahman, who has his roots in Chennai, is fabulous too, but I think he is more of a national figure. *The Beale Street Music Festival at Memphis or your performance at the General Assembly Hall, the United Nations... which has been most memorable?* Ah, the next performance in Chennai. There is no use reminiscing about the past, so it's always the future performances that I worry about. I still get a stomach upset the day before my show — in fact it's kind of like a good luck charm (laughs). *A decade old, Euphoria is still going strong unlike so many other bands who have disappeared.* We have no ego hassles. Talented bands like Jaal and Junoon (Pakistan) broke up at the peak of their careers. We work as a team. *Any plans of getting into music direction for films?* I think Euphoria always had that option of 'music of films' but we want our music to be recognised for its own value. But we are working on a project called Mumbai Cutting, where you will hear an interesting, different sound. Incidentally, I also play the male lead in the movie. *Your second movie after Filhaal... as an actor, doctor and singer, which role gets most importance?* The doctor definitely! I am an ok singer and an actor only by chance. *Watch out for Euphoria's latest album Re- Dhoom, a compilation of their hits over the last decade.
