Dear Rahmaniacs, It was a great pleasure to be part of Rahmania program today evening . I had an opportunity to talk with Raihanaji for two hours unplugged... The joy of being with the sister of the 8th wonder itself gave me a lot of excitement and joy. We had discussion abt varied points and a brief of what we discussed and what was aired are as follows :-
I spoke abt how I started loving ARR music right from Roja time , and in fact even the Leo Coffee Ad, which by itself was so unique in all aspects. for every emotion of ours, ARR had a unique composition, which would suit our feeling and bring out the emotion that we wanted at that particular time. For eg. If we wanted to be very happy, in a vibrant mode, then Columbus Columbus ( Jeans ) was the song which was fit at that moment ( atleast for me ) , and if we wanted to be philosophical, then Aararai Kodi ( Ah Aah ) was fit. Every composition of ARR seeps inside the nerves, cells, tissues of the body and makes us feel " we want more: we want more". Each songs brings about a transformation within ourselves. I got an opportunity to speak abt Yahoo groups. The groups started in Jan 1, 1999 by Gopal Srinivasan, Vijay Iyer. Gopal & Vijay doing a wonderful job of maintaining the community, spam free, where U can get all accesss to ARR news then and there. And this being a wonderful medium of sharing one's love for ARR , his songs, His Background scores, his music bits, his flute bits and also constructive discussions on what we can do for the society. I spoke abt ARR Foundation. About how ARR had started it for a noble cause, and also abt the release of PFMB Books , which is for a noble cause. Raihanaji was very happy and she added some tidbits abt how ARR had started all this for a noble cause of eradicating poverty. In fact, I urged Raihanaji to think of joing Yahoo groups, for which she consented . I also spoke about how we had celebrated ARR Bday in Netrodaya and also intend to do something on a regular basis in the future. I also spoke abt orkut.com, ARR fans community, which has 3,50,000 + members now, just next to INDIA Community. She was wonderstruck to know that there are so many members for ARR Community. I also urged people who are not part of YG or orkut to join and share their feelings on ARR, for us to do something very constructively for ARR in the future . Finally, I thanked Aaha Fm, raihanaji for giving me the opportunity, and also wished that everybody buy CDs, Cassettes of ARR music and hear them through legal sources. It was a wonderful occassion today, and I hope there would be more fans from Yg / orkut going for the Rahmania program, and sharing some of their best thoughts on ARR & ARR Foundation.
