Incredible for a south based music director to be in the sixth most powerful person position in a North/Hindi dominated bollywood industry amidst directors, actors, etc. ARR's music "cuts the crap" and speaks for itself, powering its way into the hearts and minds of people irrespective of man made boundaries and categories. He beat Amitabh Bacchan who is at number 7!
If someone told you back in 1992 that in 2008, ARR would outrank AB in a power contest in bollywood, would you believe it? The pied piper from Chennai is and will be a force to reckon with for a long time to come.
