Ashutosh Gowarikar's much-awaited epic romance Jodhaa Akbar has
suffered a major set back due to Ashutosh's back ailment. Hence, he
has converted his office into a studio so that AR Rehman, music
director of Jodha Akbar, can work from here. The director was
scheduled to be in Chennai for this entire week to finish the
background score of the film but could not move out because of strict
instructions from his doctors.

Meanwhile, Rehman is known to work only from his studio in Chennai
but has agreed to come to Mumbai to complete the assignment. A source
says, "Ashutosh has transferred his personal room into a post-
production recording studio where Rehman is finalising his background
score.

Rehman and Ashutosh Gowarikar are so passionate about the music of
Jodhaa Akbar that the two also went to the Ajmer Sharif Dargah before
recording the song Khwaja Mere Khwaja. In fact, the remaining post-
production work is being finalised at Aditya Modi's studio in Malad.
This is probably the first time when Rehman has come down to Mumbai
to complete his assignment."

If sources are to be believed the film that was slated to be released
on February 15, 2008, has been further delayed. It is scheduled to
release in April this year. However, the music is all set to release
next week on January 9. The change of the release date is due to the
fact that Ashutosh Gowarikar has been advised complete bed rest.

Ashutosh remained unavailable for comment.
