Dude ! also heard of Sukhwinder Singh about his not so punctual to appear for
rehearsals & main sessions of concert. He used to make his own way & timings,
when other artists present themselves in time in ARR concerts. There was also a
press news, I read here before, "if sukhwinder is not going to stay in line
properly, he will become a one song wonder" something or like that. Lets see
who stays long better in their own ways between kailash kher & sukhwinder singh
without ARR's influence ? for both have unsual voices. ARR cannot consider them
often & only when a song needs such unusual voice, he can utilise. That may
also be one of reasons both of them at one point of time did not give due
credits to ARR. Hope this confirms Sukh's balti statements & Kailesh's not
mentioning ARR's name in some rediff interview before.

Dholna has a r r written all over it . Sukhwinder just wrote the lyrics and
sung, not composed it !

Sukhwindara Singh shares a great working rapport with Rahman, and this is only
too apparent in Dholna. This extremely slow folk number, has Sukhwindara
singing his own lyrics - and Rahman perhaps compliments his singer and lyricist
with adequate musical support.

You may be right neetika, actually thakshak was released during 1999.
So, my memory may be scathed a bit. Anyway tks for the update but I do remember
that it was picked up from Sukhwinder's personal album. Can you please verify
if you have the CD/Cassette cover.

One of the Songs in Thakshak was a song composed and sung by Sukhwinder
and the ARR gave credits for that in the inlay card itself. Sukhwinder must be
referring to that one I guess. But not most of the songs as he claims. Also in
one of the interviews he mentions that ARR respects him not as a singer but as
a fellow composer.

I never heard such a claim either, but judging from his live
performance at the ARR concert, Sukhvinder is a bit of a show-off
anyways :)
