his music speaks beyond generation. I still remember reading a fan created
wallpaper with words - " His music is composed for the next generation",
something like that...correct me if the person created the wallpaper is reading
nw :)

I hve similar experience where some of my friends who used to hear classic
songs of IR, stunt after hear thiruda thiruda recently in my high-end
speaker...the first thing they told was....Silent for a moment....The sound is
really good like a latest album. He admit the sound is too good for some
listeners to judge it during it release.
Even Rahman mention, a lot critics condemn of his thiruda thiruda album during
its release. But today, it is one of ARR greatest composition and critics once
upon time now admit on that...

also Raghu don't forget to hear the BGM Iruvar which i judge one of ARR best
BGM all time

enjoy

sorry you couldn't join the crowd that time :-) I was in college that time and
used to rush from the college to just listen to iruvar songs with my friends
:-)

When rahman performed in bangalore , the show was delayed due to rain. but we
old folks enjoyed singing the song "kanna katti kollathe " and other rahman's
rain songs till then..

For me, any rahman's cassette is a period in my life.so if i put any of his
casstette it takes me to that particualr period where i would have listened to
that cassette daily till the next one got released :-)

Today i am in saudi arabia and listening to ATM daily . My reference to this
time in my life.

Rahman is always my past which i can't detach with.

I am glad that you liked Iruvar though you took time ...

   Hello All,

It's been a long time since I posted here.

Recently started listening to Iruvar after a very long time, almost
10 years. Amazing album, an absolute classic. It's strange that I did
not like it 10 years ago, I was very disappointed then, but now I have
fallen in love with it. May be I did not like it then because I was 20
years old :) but now as I have grown older and married :), I am able
to connect with them, believe me I don't understand a word in tamil.
But the songs in Iruvar have a soothing effect.

Guys do give it a try.

Love ARR
Raghu
