Ohh God...this song has cast a magical spell. I am caught in this web
and I cant take myself out of it. But dont I like this confinement?
Ohh..yes this is the most delightful and beautiful imprisonment I
have ever had in my life...Gosh Punishment can be so sweet.
This song in one word is just too "SEXY". I dont know in which genre
this song lies. The Mozart does everything in this song. The way he
plays with Ujjaiynee's voice in the entire song goes par excellence.
His experimentations and innovations in sounds is sometimes just
unthinkable to say the least.
Then the master crafts the magic of Hip hop with a tinge of rap with
words like DJ and Boom Shaka. The male voice is just too innocent in
this number and imagine all this happening in a westernized song. On
the other hand the female voice rocks completely with a pop tone. The
song goes on at a calm and composed pace and then Mr.Rahman does
something really unique. Listen to the first interlude. It sounds
like a bhangra yaar. The way he has done this fusion is just too
awesome. Rahman just one question for you, "How can you even think of
so many things in a song?"
What I love about this song is that Mr. Rahman has shown that to make
a western song you dont need to put up heavy percussions and lot of
arrangements. He kept everything so simple and the song flows like a
smooth river throughout. The arrangements are so appropriate and
still it makes a stylized song.
I dont understand even a single word of tamil but I enjoy this song
thoroughly. My mobile keeps on playing this song. It just gets stuck
there and I can't move to the next number. I have become a slave to
this number. Everytime I listen to this number I picturise myself as
Michael Jackson and also doing bhangra in between. :)
Thank you sir for this wonderful and exotic gift in the form of Nee
Marilyn Monroe. This is as beautiful as Marilyn herself. hahaha
