i remember way back in 90s... initially when rahman was with Sony during
first Vande mataram launch (hair style - all hairs in airs). at that time in a
suntv interview he nicely answered one of d questions 'why this hair style' ?
he shared about how sony pple were particular & compelled him 2 change
completely 2 ultra modern & asked him for a dress code & many such suggestions
which he did not like & finally agreed to only one change -hair style to
represent them.
when airtel happened hairs went short. i read an article about modelling &
endorsing brands. when they switch to products they need 2 change d style as
not to make d public remember their old brand / endorsement.
like-wise... now he might be approached by some brand which v r yet 2 know or
even dis HMV & hair style shifts from Worldspace. Or if this has nothing 2 do
with current hair style mean indicate he is preparing for USA & Canada Shows.
Is that another stylish look ? may b his feeling... a change 2 b fresh 2
audience when in shows. hopefully such styles will b there till his next haj
visit ;-)
