Chennai: It's now official. The beats from Rajnikanth's Sivaji have
just hit the stands. And the audio from the soon-to-be- released film
is what Chennai will dance to till the superstar is seen dancing to
those very beats on the silver screen.

"People had started asking since last month about the release, and on
yesterday evening and today we've had good response," says Prabhu
Shankar of the Landmark Book store.

"We're anxious to greet to know the entire song. So we've dropped in
the first morning to get the CD," says a Rajnikanth fan Rajasekaran.

The entire audio release was a sudden affair with no gala event, and
no major function. But thanks to Rajnikanth, the hype was always
there. And adding to the hype, just a few days ago, were the pirated
versions of some songs that found their way to the Internet.

However, the producer of Sivaji says all the suspense about the film
has only helped in getting the hype without spending on an ad
campaign - something which perhaps only a Rajnikanth film can do.

"The hype has come through the suspense everybody wants to know
something, anything about the film," says CEO, AVM productions, K
Babu.

While music director A R Rehman is out of the country, his sister
Rehana who has sung a couple of songs in the film says the music is
mind blowing and that Rehman has even made a rap number with Rajni
dancing to it.

"The melodies are good. The rap song is one of thee best ever," she
says.

Rehman and Rajnikanth are the combination that have given hits like
Padayappa and Muttu in the past. But it has also given us a flop like
Baba. But we will have to wait and watch if the combination be able
to work the magic in Sivaji?
