Bappi Lahiri to sing for A R Rahman? May 31, 2006
Guess who was walking out of Rahman's studio at Ashok Nagar, Chennai, one
morning this month? Bappi Lahiri, the Bollywood music composer. Sources tell
us that Rahman had roped in this guy to sing the title track for
Manirathnam's Guru. Mani, it looks, is signing up all big guys for Guru. In
the lead roles are Abishek, Ash and Maddy. And the latest to join the team
is Vidya Balan, the Parineeta girl. Mani and Rahman have given several hits
and this time too they hope to pull off a bigger one.
"Mani sir knows how to get the best of me. This time I am more inspired and
working harder," says Rahman. When Rahman says it he means it.
