Its good to see music directors are praising the work of other music
directors. This is healthy...for the cinefield. I recently
read..harris complimenting on thiruda thiruda as one of his favourite
song. Thats kewl of harris.

This kinda of talk did not exist during illyaraja's reign...he never
mentioned that he appreciates any other music director's work..of
course the senior ones..but his generation directors...

I guess all this happened after ARR came to the scene. He insited
that his musicans name be printed in the cover of cassette folders
and cds. That changed the whole concept and thinking. But, I guess arr
is the only one till now who actually ensures the name of musicians
are printed.Thats the big heart of arr.

I have not once heard from raja that he appreciates rahman'
music...but at least his brother had some compliments for arr.

True talent must be appreciated..afterall rahman did learn some from
his mentor..and always makes it a point to stress...on raja's guidance

When rahman operated the song for punagai manan..raja should have
atleast complimented him....

I read somewhere that uttam singh the long time associate of
raja..said the first synthesizer was brought by illayaraja...thats
aint true..it was arr father who had learnt and brought the
synthesizer...well....somehow..i am glad...arr has proven beyond
raja's imagination..that...there is more to folk and carnatic...

Music speaks ......words do not......
