i think they should work together.the only musician that attract me most, ARR and ID.their music is best in their own way.
 
if u dont like music in HDDCS and devdas, it may be bcoz u dont like ID, u dont listen carefully to the music (or again and again like what u did to ARR's song) and may be u dont like the song picturisation.
 
for me,nothing wrong with both SLB and ID. it just that his film is more to a theatre syle and everything almost perfect in the scene.a particular person i guess. Mani's film is real, more complicated but it is an interesting approach. his movie is more to award (not popular award) winning kind of movie.
 
ID song is catchy and he has his own identity, just like ARR (but i like ARR more ).nimbooda music arrangement is superb.(not composition, this song is a 'rearrange' from old song. just like andangkaka in anniyan - both better but not original!)
 
devdas was the first CD i bought. yeah, its a good composition and arrangement.on the silver screen, it's even better. something u cant forget. this is what SLB do. use the music wisely.
 
so please imagine, what would it be if SLB is the director of NEW... i'm pity to ARR... great song ended up just like that.. silly joke movie. the first song... here in malaysia we call it "Kampung".
 
for me directors that appreciate song are SLB, Mani Ratnam, Rajiv Menon, Karan Johar, aditya n yash Copra and few more. they use the music wisely.i think SLB should try ARR. it would be a great movie...
