It may be a better idea to define 'flops' in the context of CD/cassette sales of Rahman's movies, or better yet, the general consensus on the quality of music from pundits. Rahman simply can't control whether the movie succeeds at the box office or not. In fact, lot of his earlier movies (early and mid 90's movies) were flops, but still got him recognition.
