Well said buddy, and I think you are not alone. I think you might as
well be speaking for most of the group. I feel the same way. Most of
his tracks, old and new, are just beyond explanation. I really can
not explain how I feel when I listen to these tracks. There were
times, many times, when I felt that Rahman could not get any better
than this, but time again I was proven wrong, and I gave up. I had
the same question in my mind, how does he do it? After wasting a lot
of time trying to figure that out, I have realized that it is not just
one thing that makes him what he is. I have read and contributed to
discussions regarding this. But never are we able to come to
conclusion as to how Rahman does it. Some say it is his knowledge of
western music and indian music, others say it is his technical genius,
while others say his style, his instrumentation, his interludes that
keep the ears glued, his team, his spirituality, his humility,
etc..etc.. the list can go on forever. I gave up on the thought of
how he accomplishes what he does. It is pointless, since there is no
one answer for that question. So, now I just purely and immensely
enjoy his unexplainable, unaccessible, unmeasurable, unaccustomed,
unadulterated, undersold, underrated work, without worrying about how
he does it. I might sound crazy or obsessed but, I feel Rahman makes
music for me. Although I have only seen him once live, in concert.
I feel I know him and he knows me, that is why he produces music that
quenches my soul, time and another.

Sorry for the long message, I got carried away there.

May God bless Rahman and
May God bless All
Ameen.
