Great stuff! At last I can listen to it with a modicum of
understanding. Gonna add this to my fav list of scriptural chants. The
melding of urdu/arabic meditative words with what I would call
traditional scriptural chanting rag, is simply outstanding.
Check out the 'Shiv Shambho' album by Pandit Jasraj (also on Times
Music), in particular the "Swarnamala Stuti' track - a good example of
what I mean by 'traditional scriptural chanting rag'.
