I have a new Samsung Book4 Edge with a SnapDragon Elite X1E84100 3.8 processor.
I completed the following steps using an install of OpenBSD 7.6 running in VMware running on a MacBook M1 downloaded the OpenBSD 7.6 ARM64 install76.img and the SHA256 file. ran the signify -Cp command to verify the signature. ran the dd command to create the create the installation media on a usb drive I inserted the usb drive in the Samsung Book4, booted the machine and accessed the boot memory. An entry for UEFI USB ScanDisk 3.2Gen 1 appeared in the boot sequence. I selected that entry. The machine paused for about 4-5 seconds and then booted into Windows. I repeated this process three times to ensure I did not miss something and got the same result each time. The Edge4 boot process does not read the OpenBSD install image, as far as I can see. I did note in the notes on the OpenBSD ARM64 webpage that support for the SnapDragon Qualcomm SnapDragon X Elite (X1e80100) was added after OpenBSD 7.6 was released. Does anyone have insight as to why a Book4 Edge with this SnapDragon processor will not boot into / install OpenBSD 7.6? Are the bits required to perform the install included in the 7.6 install files? Any insight is appreciated. Thank you, Jim Sent with [Proton Mail](https://proton.me/mail/home) secure email.
