I mean initial bring-up of a port to a new architecture - this is infrequent enough that the OS has usually changed quite a bit between two new arches so anything written is likely out of date by the time it's used again. There are some hints in https://www.openbsd.org/papers/mips32-openbsd.pdf but quite dated now.
