However, 1 /48 exceeds 75% of the /48s available in a /48 (1), so per the rule an organization with a single site should receive a /44, which differs from the example. Policy Statement: In 6.5.8.2 replace "An organization qualifies for an assignment on the next larger nibble boundary when their sites exceed 75% of the /48s available in a prefix." with "An organization qualifies for an assignment on the next larger nibble boundary when their sites exceed 75% of the /48s available in a prefix unless they only have a single site." Comments: Another way to fix the discrepancy would be to allocate a /44 for end users with a single site, but given the context of 6.5.8.2 it appears that the current intent of policy is for a single site end user to receive a /48.
