Aloha!

Pursuant to Chapter 103D, Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes (“HRS”), the Hawaiʻi County (“County”) Department of Research and Development (“Department”) is requesting proposals for innovation grant awards in preparation for the 2022-2023 fiscal year.
The intent of the grant program is to support research, programs, or projects that advance innovation in the areas of agriculture and food systems, business and industry development, community-based and place-based tourism, community well-being, creative industries, energy, and sustainable economic development in Hawaiʻi County. Proposals must address and support the Department's goal related to innovation, community well-being and economic development, and program objectives for the above subject areas. Please refer to the RFP for complete information.
There are some significant changes to the Innovation Grant Program this year - new grant award tiers, matching funds requirements, new programs, and new forms.
