Indeed, but the s5I8900 (no bfp) is only related to the first iPhone.
All other iPhones are based on, at least, ARMv7-v8 and Cortex-Ax so
should have VFP supported.
As said, technically it is feasible, but there's a lot of work there and
not just only related to the CPU part, but also for all glues around as
well, such GPU which is a PowerVR product based, etc...!
- Apple comes up with several Processors version, and the latest is
the A8(x) for iPhone6 and 6+ (not manufactured by SS anymore this one,
guest why!) which is based on AMRv8-A and Apple's internal architecture
design named "Cyclone 2nd generation".
